The Course Prayer

Heavenly Father, you are the One and Only God, perfect in majesty, glory and purity; Almighty and Everlasting.

  You are worthy of our praise, for you have reached down from heaven to reveal to us the way of truth and salvation through your Word, and supremely through your Son Jesus Christ. 

  You have opened our hearts and minds, shown us Christ, and given us faith to repent and turn to Him, to whom we entrust our eternity.

  We thank you for His perfect life, for His willing sacrificial death which earned our forgiveness, for His glorious resurrection which provided for our eternal life, and for His ascension to your right hand to reign on our behalf. We acknowledge our unworthiness, but His all-sufficiency.

  We pray that as we study your written Word, the same Holy Spirit that inspired it, will grant us insight and understanding, so that we may more fully comprehend the wonders of your work of salvation, be more deeply devoted to you, motivated to live lives of thankfulness; to be enabled to serve you better, and to have greater courage to witness for you.
