Four major principles run throughout the resources here: The Bible is our supreme authority on all matters of faith and conduct. God will not mislead us - the Bible is clear that we are saved by grace alone through faith alone by Christ alone: but we have to work to understand the breadth and depth of His revelation and its application to our lives, with the help of His Holy Spirit. The Bible is the infallible and inerrant Word of God as originally given. We must have a Christ-centred understanding of the Old Testament Christ is not only the complete fulfilment of its prophecies and promises, and of its moral and ceremonial law, but also the One towards whom all its history moved and its progressive revelation pointed. There is an intimate relationship between the Old and New Testaments Understanding this results in a much deeper understanding of God, the Gospel of Jesus Christ and of God's ultimate plan. The atoning Cross of Christ is central to all our understanding about God and what He has done The Cross is the only answer to man's greatest need and is the interpreting key to understanding the whole Bible. |
